To ensure your AI Assistant is properly trained, it’s crucial to follow these guidelines when creating training notes. These instructions make the information easily understandable for the AI Assistant and help it retrieve relevant details promptly.

Writing Style and Clarity

  • Natural Language: Write training notes as if a human will use them to find information.
  • Specific Details: Ensure the information is as specific as possible and avoid generalizations.
  • Simple Language: Use straightforward language while retaining particular details.
  • Restate Questions: Restate user queries in the training notes to aid the AI Assistant in understanding what to look for.

  • Q&A Format: Provide both the potential question and the answer to make it easier for the AI Assistant to identify the information for a particular customer query.

Organization of Information

  • Create Topic-Specific Documents: Organize information into a set of documents, each focusing on a specific topic.
  • Logical Structure: Break content into logical parts with headers and paragraphs.
  • Balanced Length: Avoid overly long texts; split them into paragraphs. However, don't excessively fragment single ideas.
  • Use Bullet Lists: Utilize bullet lists for better recognition by the AI Assistant.
  • Numbered Lists: Use numbered lists when the order is crucial.

Rules

In addition to sharing information, there can be times when you might want to tell the AI Assistant what to do under certain conditions. You can do this using special instructions called rules. In these rules, the condition part is about the user, and the action part is about what the AI Assistant should do.

For example, if a user asks for help resetting the password, the AI Assistant must connect them to a real support agent.
